Our Story

Always Meant To Be

Our story began in 2014 in the most unexpected way. Fresh out of senior school and full of uncertainty, Elsie began an internship

(shoutout to Aunt Christie from SMIC360) where she met Jesse, quiet, focused, and seemingly too serious to notice her. What neither of us knew then was that something meaningful had already begun.

Life soon took us in different directions. Elsie moved to Canada to continue her studies, and the years passed with us living separate lives, until fate stepped in again. A birthday WhatsApp status reconnected us, and conversations resumed as if no time had passed at all. Despite the distance, our bond grew stronger.

In October 2021, Elsie returned to Ghana, and everything fell into place. From airport reunions to laughter-filled dates, our connection deepened quickly. Long distance wasn’t easy, but love made it worthwhile, with shared milestones, movie premieres, and countless video calls bridging the miles between us.

In July 2025, during what Elsie thought was a simple trip home for her best friend’s wedding, Jesse planned a surprise that changed everything. Surrounded by family and friends at one of her favorite restaurants, he asked her to be his wife, and she said yes.

Today, on 9th May 2026, we celebrate a love that grew through time, distance, and faith. What began quietly has become a lifetime promise.
