Our Story
Always Meant To Be
Elsie’s POV
I met Jesse in 2014 at Aunty Christie’s . I finished my WASSCE and Maa U was tired of having me at home . Ironically,my first impression was that he was something of an introvert, as he rarely spoke or initiated conversation with me. After two months, I left for Canada and we lost touch. He finally messaged me out of the blue and we built a great online friendship. He even helped me surprise my parents in 2021 when I came to visit . Over the years we built an amazing relationship and Jesse later surprised me with the most perfect proposal .My favourite thing about us is our friendship, which is what has helped us build this beautiful lifelong partnership.
Jesse’s POV
I met Elsie in 2014 during my national service. At the time, my life was very simple: work, purpose, and building something of my own. I had just started my business after service, and I was completely locked in. Long days, big dreams, and zero distractions. So yes, I was that quiet, serious guy who always seemed too busy to notice much else.

Life moved on, and we went our separate ways. She left for Canada, I stayed back, focused on growing my work. Years passed. Then one random birthday WhatsApp status brought us back into conversation (Shoutout to Augustine😂), and just like that, it felt easy again. Natural. Familiar. Even with the distance, we grew closer.
When she returned to Ghana in 2021, everything made sense. What followed were real moments, shared milestones, long-distance challenges, and a love that kept growing alongside the work I was building. In July 2025, I finally did what felt right. Surrounded by family and friends, I asked her to be my wife, and she said yes.
Today, 9th May 2026, I’m grateful that a season of focus, faith, and patience led me to the woman I get to spend my life with.
